Season Finale: Obamanation, More thoughts

Maureen Dowd of the New York Times said it well: Whoever said that after denial comes acceptance hadn’t met the Clintons.

But you know what? If Hillary continues to beat the drums after the party’s over, its only to try and haul in the 140-some uncommitted superdelegates as of this writing. If by some voodoo all of them pledges for Hillary (and they have until August to think about it), then Obama will be forced to stop dead in his tracks.

The superdelegates are the reason why this contest will never end. They can close this chapter tonight but for some strange reason, many of them are choosing not to. Amazing.

Would someone tell me why that undemocratic institution called superdelegates still exists?
