The fight is coming to an end

October 10, 2008

This picture about says it all.

Go to any news site in the US today and you’ll find a grim picture – for McCain and his running mate Palin.

The recent “town hall” debate with That One (Obama) only sent him further up the creek.

Gawd when is this stuff gonna be over.

It’s beginning to sound like our local scene when they started throwing colored (racial) things around. I thought there has been a mindset change in the voting public about race. But when Castro opened his mouth, I think some old minds still refuse to see things in new light. Or am I being idealistic?

You are being idealistic. 🙂 In the US we call racial sentiments among voters the Bradley Effect. Its been around forever. If Obama manages to win November in spite of it, he will go down in history, not that he hasn’t already.

    Thanks for the truth.

I always hoped that after living with all other colors in their midst people, simply wake up one day and see everyone else as a member of the human race, and stop referring to some other person as, ‘that Indian, Chink, or you Nigger or Pale-face…

With Obama in office, it may be a good start for the rest of the world to follow, if and where situations are friendly…

I think a US recession will help an Obama White House because when wallets are empty, lesser issues like race disappear. In good times when idealism returns, the race demon will reappear I’m sure.

Sometime we get too close to the woods to see the trees. Here’s someone with a good explanation.

…and I thought all humans came from the same place – prehistoric Africa. Hehe.

History is written by the victors. Ours is no exception. Our kids have to grow up and learn totally different historical facts from their school text books. Anyway, that’s no big deal. Nobody gets fooled all the time. That’s our reality.

That’s why Al Gore’s phrase An Inconvenient Truth resonates so well. China’s 1st emperor ordered all the works of Confucius and Lao Tze to be burnt. One of the pharaohs (can’t remember his name) destroyed the hieroglyphics of his predecessor and replaced it with his own version of history, preserved to this day. So you are right I guess.
