Quote for the weekend

October 17, 2008

A woman hopes to change the man.
A man hopes the woman will never change.

– Anon

For you more experienced folks, any truth in this? 😀

Have a great weekend.

There is some truth in it.

Somehow, the common woman’s tendency is to try change the man into her ideal husband, perfect father for her kids and a great bread-winner. etc. In other words, a superman. We’ve seen women marry bad guys and dream they’d become good. And yes, some men do change for the better.

For men, on the visible aspect we hope WWSIWWG yet we hope the woman will never change physically. But alas Newton’s Law eventually will let us all down. hahaha.

Right, so men and women are basically incompatible creatures, each one expecting the opposite things from each other. No wonder marriages are as colorful as they are. 🙂

A woman never change…in terms of what? >:)

I think in terms of beauty and other physical stuff?

Colorful. That’s right. It seems it’s the basic opposites that pull people together. They have different strengths which complement each other and when combined, make them into a formidable union. But they have to compromise to stay together. And that’s why it’s called a marriage.

That, perhaps is the beauty of differences. Vive la difference!!!

Yes, that’s yin and yang. Isn’t it funny how people go to war over differences and yet its differences that pull people together.

Looking at most issues fought over, I don’t believe it’s differences that make people go to war. The cause is more of greed for power and wealth and the control over others, or the fear of losing it. The poverty and suffering of some are caused by the greed of others. That creates the reaction.
