Stayed up all night watching the inauguration of the 44th president of the US (or the 56th president according to HBO’s synopsis on Astro).

Finally, a president cum cultural icon that gives us some hope.

Today is a good day for humanity.

Hope is an important thing everyone needs especially during difficult times such as the one we’re having now. I think that is also why Obama won (one of the reasons). But I always told my friends that great expectations come great disappointments. It’s okay to expect and hope, but don’t overdo.

One needs hope in a depression but hope alone won’t put food on the table. Action will. And Obama’s speeches are rightfully full of “instructions” to the people that without their action, nothing will happen.

There is a page in Multiply.com open for public comments on this historic occasion, how are you feeling?.

How do I feel? Sleepy, after staying up all night. Thanks for the link. šŸ˜€

i like his inauguration speech. it is much more with burning passion compared to the other speeches i have read. but i am more interested to see his action course from today onwards.

Two days in office and he’s already busy renovating the system, starting with national security. So far so good.
