McDonalds reducing prices, in China

February 9, 2009

In reaction to the economy, McD slashed its prices by as much as 30% for combo meals, according to this NY Times report.

Think we’re going to see cheaper Big Macs in Malaysia or Singapore anytime soon?

Actually they are already, but only lunchtimes, and not by 30%.

Their combo meals have always cheaper than ala carte as far as I can remember. But that’s more the result of creative packaging than a response to the financial crisis.

No, they’re doing 5 dollar Mac meals at lunch time as opposed to nearly 6.

Is that in Singapore? I haven’t stepped into a Sg McD for a while now as I’m based in KL.
