10promises

I guess this wasn’t one of the promises:

All life is precious.

Read the tragedy on MSNBC here.

Help out if you can.

My friend sent that link to me, and at first, I thought it was some kind of a joke. =_= *sighs*. Maybe someone should just sink the whole Pulau Ketam for good.

I actually understand their plight but I also think there are better ways to handle the problem.

When residents of a location in a so-called civilised country take such despicable and drastic actions to solve a problem they must be at the end of their wits trying to cope with it all by themselves. I wonder who’s the MP, councillor, or other person-in-charge of that island… 😦

Yeah. It takes years for a population of dogs to reach 300, which suggests the problem had been left festering for a while. The opportunity to fix it early and more humanely had been ignored.

Too bad. Those are the unlucky ones been abandoned. On the other end there are those which have been pampered and treasured so much by their masters eg those pet toy dogs.

Its a dog eat dog world, and its not just dogs that are doing that.

i don’t know what to say except pray to God or Buddhas that more people will help/listen to this dogs plight n suffering. May the dogs have a better place to stay just like humans. The Pulau Ketam’s villagers really do not know how to treasures this dogs which i do not know how to say anymore. It’s a pity that human do not know the animal greatness to earth. Thanks God that there are activists like SPCA to alert n help the dogs relocation. Bless the SPCA!

WHATS THE 10 PROMISES TO MY DOG?

I read the other side of the story. The residents had been terrified for some time and some have lost livestock, etc. to these dogs. If you’re afraid to even let your kids out to play, life becomes difficult, so I understand their desperation. What I don’t agree with is they way they solved the problem.
