Short break from blogging

November 9, 2009

If you’re my regular blog reader, you’d have noticed that the timing of my postings have been getting more and more erratic. When you’re shuttling between 3 different cities a week for 2 straight weeks and probably all the way till Christmas when it’ll get worse – 6 cities a month: Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, KL, London, San Francisco, you know something’s gotta give.

I don’t mind the cities. Its the travelling that’s the bummer. Sitting in that cramped sardine can with wings for up to 18 hours sometimes. Doesn’t matter whether you’re sitting in the front or at the back, its still something I dread. Man I’d kill for that transporter thing I see in Star Trek. Beam me up, Scotty. No bad weather to run into, no crying babies to endure, no security check hassles, no flight delays.

I don’t know if its coincidence but this was about the time that I quit my last employment, and under the same circumstances too. It was a time when I had to be in several different places at once. It was also how I got into business. The people I left had no other choice but to get me back in on contract as the know-how was locked in my head. Not on purpose but because there just wasn’t time to write it all down and still meet the deadlines.

Yup, time. There’s only 24 hours a day. That’s your biggest challenge.

Anyway, I digress. Seeing that I’m only in one place for 3 days (at best) before I hit the airline check-in counters again, I’ve decided to take a break from blogging for about a month. Shorter if I can get stuff done quicker. I’ll try to sneak in a post every now and then if my mind’s up to it. I’ll try to leave comments in the regular blogs I visit as that takes less time than writing a full blown post.

Meanwhile, thank your lucky stars you’re not on a perpetually moving train like I am. 😀

I hate airplanes too . I feel you man .
Maybe you should try picking up some chicks on the airplane. 😛

You want me and Alvin to sign a petition so that you wont take a break ?
    don’t worry , we won’t ass kiss you .

I do need to take a break – from myself, so the petitiion has to go to me. 😛 Planes are a terrible place to pick up chicks don’t you know? They always promise to write but they never do. 🙂

eh, u can write ur blog posts on the flight what. don tell me u gonna sleep THAT much right. 😛 even if u r hooking up with the stewardesses, u don need that much time. and who knows, they might be impressed with u – u’re a business blogger ler

mmm as for flights, i kinda enjoy it. 😛 i jz hate the security checks.

Actually when I’m on the plane or in a hotel in some unknown country I read. Not books but dry serious stuff like methodologies and shit. Its about the only time I’m free of interruptions. That’s why I hardly blog when I’m on the road. I figure you need input into the brain b4 you can get output, hehe…

Why are planes a terrible place to pick up chicks ?

I think it is a great place .

    1) Chicks are bored . Waiting for something to happen .
    2) Usually Chicks are not in their BEST APPEARANCE . Cause they have to take off their contact lenses , less make up etc on the plane . So their “hot chick bitch” attitude shield is down . They will be friendlier .
    3) Once you find something in common , you can easily grab their email ..”Why don’t i email this and this about that , then maybe if i am free we can work something out ..”

Last time i used it as a practice field . hehe .

When you are going to a destination , pick up chicks from the passengers .
When you are going HOME , pick up the air stewardess .

Dude have you seen the chicks in business class? Not my type… either too bossy-looking or old enuf to be my mom. Hahaha.

Just take all you can and go get ’em, young man. You have but a few years to gather all that hay, while the sun shines. Who knows what’s the next big thing in the market. By then you’d have your barn full and enough to retire. Blog only when you need to relief some stress.
    Good luck.
